This book directly addresses the multiple effects the COVID-19 pandemic might have on children across the world. Daily routines have been interrupted and people are behaving differently, which may make some children feel anxious or scared. Here, children learn basic facts about the virus, various ways to keep safe and healthy and methods of calming themselves down if they’re feeling overwhelmed. Above all, they learn that the routines they know, love and miss will certainly return and that kindness and gratitude to others is of paramount importance.
What people have to say about our books!
“The books and activities are a learning treasure chest. There has been marked improvement in children’s vocabulary, communication and socialisations skills and therefore, an improvement in their overall mental and emotional dispositions.“
– Teacher in Trinidad and Tobago
“Experiencing high quality social and emotional learning is arguably as important now as it has ever been, so to have found such an accessible, engaging and effective programme has been a constant source of reassurance and joy! Not least because the stories, activities and resources are consistently appealing, user-friendly and so well designed for the virtuous purposes they wish to serve. I only wish we’d had access to it sooner, including when I was in Nursery!”
– Teacher in the UK
“Mothers have become very interested in the Programme, saying that they have noticed a difference in the way their children behave at home.”
– Teacher in Mexico
“They responded positively and with great enthusiasm to the books. They enjoyed learning about different people, different cultures, different languages.”
– Teacher in Botswana
“The books are wonderful … they speak to the heart of the children, the illustrations are beautiful … Thank you to all the writers. Wonderful job!”
