Our founder, Leslee Udwin, had her film ‘India’s Daughter’ presented at the 5th Scholas Chairs International Congress, which was hosted at Fordham University (New York City) from June 2nd to 4th, 2019.
The event brought together more than two hundred academics from the Scholas Chairs programme, researchers of more than one hundred universities committed to social engagement, diplomats, inter-faith religious authorities and governments to promote cooperation and learning based on the idea of education as a main means for social change. Think Equal Patron, Dr Marc Brackett, also made an impressive presentation about Emotional Intelligence.
The topic of the 2019 Congress was ‘Building cooperation networks for fraternal humanism trough three axes’:
- Educating for Fraternal Humanism: Innovative Education
- Social Ecology: environmental and social sustainability
- Intercultural and Interreligious Dialogue for Sustainable Peace
