Think Equal is a global non-profit organisation delivering social and emotional learning (SEL) programmes to early years classrooms. We work with teachers, schools, governments, and partners to help children develop skills like empathy, resilience, and inclusion.
We take your privacy seriously. This notice explains what personal data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
2. THE DATA WE COLLECT
We collect personal data to run our programmes, measure their impact, and improve our services. The information we collect depends on your role and how you interact with us.
We may collect:
- For teachers and educators: name, email address, school name, training progress, classroom feedback, and survey responses.
- For parents/caregivers: name, contact details, and feedback forms about your child’s progress.
- For children (programme participants): age, gender, classroom observations, and (in some cases) direct assessment results.
- For LMS (online training) users: account details, course enrolments, activity logs, and optional contributions (such as forum posts or assignments).
We do not collect more information than we need.
3. HOW WE USE YOUR DATA
We use your data to:
- Deliver training and support to teachers and educators.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of our programmes.
- Meet contractual requirements with partners and funders.
- Improve our materials, training, and programme delivery.
- Comply with legal requirements and protect our organisation from fraud or misuse.
We only process personal data when we have a legal reason to do so — usually your consent, a contract, or a legitimate interest related to our work.
4. WHO WE SHARE DATA WITH

5. HOW WE STORE AND PROTECT YOUR DATA
We store personal data securely, using encrypted systems and access controls.
Data is deleted when it is no longer needed, in line with our Data Retention Schedule.
Examples:
- LMS accounts are deleted 2 years after last use.
- Programme survey data is anonymised once reporting is complete.

You have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct, update, or delete your data.
- Withdraw consent at any time (this will not affect previous lawful processing).
- Object to how we use your data or ask us to restrict processing.
- Request that your data be transferred to another organisation (data portability).

7. CHILDREN’S DATA
When we collect personal data about children, we always:
- Seek consent from a parent or legal guardian (if required by law).
