Our Programme Officer, Viviane Marrero, attended the Hate Crime Conference organised by the Kingston Race And Equalities Council in preparation for our UK pilot. In the conference, we discussed how we can prevent and reduce hate crime and how we can support victims, as knife crime in the UK has risen by 70% over the past 5 years. In addition, we had the privilege of starting conversations with the great Dr Neville Lawrence (father of late Stephen Lawrence) about our education programme and how its implementation in the UK will help prevent violent crime in London.
